Behind the transformative work of the Namuwongo Community Foundation stands a woman whose life journey is a testament of resilience, compassion and purpose. Her name is Christine Kasapuuli Atwooki, a name now synonymous with hope in the heart of Namuwongo slums residents. Raised in a home rooted in generosity, Christine was deeply shaped by her parents' love and giving values that would later form the foundation of her life's mission. But everything changed when she lost both parents at a tender age of 13. Suddenly, the warmth of home was replaced by the harsh reality of surviva. She and her siblings struggled to stay in school, often unsure where the next term's schhol fees would comne from. Yet even in the darkest hour, kindness found her. Remarkable individuals, some strangers, some friends, reached out lifting her from despair and giving her a chance to dream again. Their generosity became the wind beneath her wings, propelling her towards an extra ordinary academic and professional journey.

Today Christine holds a bachelors degree in Procurement and Supply Management from Kampala International University, a bachelors degree in law from Uganda Christian University and two master's degrees one in Human Resource Management and the other in Business Administration both from Uganda Management Institute. Her achievments are more than academic milestones they are symbols of resilience, gratitude and power of second chance But she did not stop there. Driven by a desire to ensure no child in Namuwongo suffers as she once did, Christine founded the Namuwongo Community Foundation, a safe haven and a launching pad for countless dreams. Thanks to her vision NCF has produced .Doctors healing the underserved .Lawyers standing up for the voiceless .Nurses caring with heart .Teachers shaping future generations .Engineers designing brighter solutions

Kahunde Florence

Human Resource

Florence the pillar of people and purpose at Namuwongo Community Foundation. She stands as the dedicated Head of Human Resource. Her role is pivoted in ensuring that the foundtion's mission to uplift the Namuwongo Community is carried out by a cohesive, motivated and a well-supported team. Championing Human capital, Florence's leadership in human resources is characterised by her commitment to nurturing a positive work environment. she over sees recruitment, staff development and performance management, ensuring that each team member is aligned with NCF's values and objectives.

Fostering a culture of compassion beyond administrative duties, Florence plays a crucial role in cultivating a culture of empathy and inclusivity within NCF. She implements policies that that promote work-life balance, mental well-being and professional growth Her open-door policy encourages transparent communication, allowing staff to voice concerns and contribute ideas, thereby enhancing organisational cohesion and morale.A visionary leader, Florence's vision for NCF is one of sustainable growth and community empowerment. She believes in the potential of every individual and strive to create and environment where staff are inspired to make a difference.

Ssozi Ashraf

Head of Media at NCF

Sozi Ashraf first joined the Namuwongo Community foundation as a volunteer, driven by passion to empower children through the arts. His initial role was to train children in a theatrical performance showcased during the Ewafe Jenva Fundraising event an initiative aimed at saving the Namuwongo Community Medical Service Center from closure due to lack of funds.Impressed by his creativity, dedication and outstanding leadership, Sozi was soon appointed as head of media. In his role, he runs all the NCF's social media platforms while continuing to mentor children through arts, media and digital training.

His impact has been nothing short of transformative. Sozi has spearheaded and planned numerous fundraising campaigns, including Edition 1 and 2 of Mutuwe Naffe Tuliwa Abalala ("Give us, we shall also give others"), a vibrant talent show and cutural showcase that have taken NVF children beyond their community to perform at school events and most reently, to deliver a breathtaking traditional dance performance at Quonnect Market Day.

Maule Samuel

Social Worker

Cultivating character and community through Co-curricular engagement at Namuwongo Community Foundation. A passion for holistic development Mr.Sam head of Co-curricular activities, clubs and societies and a dedicated social worker whose influence reasonates through the community Sam's journey with NCF began with a clear vision: to empower youth and children beyond the confines of the classrooms. Recognizing that education extends beyond textbooks, he has been instrumental in integrating co-curricular activities into NCF's programs. Through clubs and societies, he provides platforms for young individuals to explore their talents, develop leadership skills and build self confidence.

Atugonza Cohen

Stewarding Financial Integrity at Namuwongo Community Foundation. At NCF, financial stewardship is paramount to sustaining it's mission of empowering the Namuwongo community At the helm of this responsibility is Mr.Atugonza Cohen, the head of finance department and bursar. Ensuring Financial Transparency and Accountability. Mr.Cohen's role is critical in maintaining the financial health of NCF. He overseas budgeting, financial planning and reporting, ensuring that every donation and expenditure aligns with the foundation's objectives.

His meticulous approach gurantees that fund are allocated efficiently, directly supporting educational programs, social services and managing bursary programs beyong general financialmanagement. Mr.Cohen administers the bursar programs at NCF He ensures that the scholarships and financial aid reach the most deserving students, enabling them to access quality education regardless of their economic background.
